Music Under the Stars in Seattle!
Do you love listening to live music? Enjoy crisp and vibrant chamber music at Music Under the Stars. Organized by the Seattle Chamber Music Society (SCMS), it’s a series of musical performances happening every summer. The event is aimed to make classical music accessible to everybody!
Since 1982, SCMS’s mission is to cultivate the appreciation for chamber music in Seattle. They present performances showcasing world-class musicians through accessible events emphasizing on developing audiences through education and community outreach.
Music Under the Stars is FREE! It highlights popular classical chamber music performances and live-broadcasts of Seattle Chamber’s concerts in Benaroya Hall. At each event, students will start performing at 7:30 pm.
The live audio broadcast at 98.1 Classical KING FM from Benaroya Hall will start at 8:00 pm. Bring your friends and family to enjoy the music at these locations and days:
- Seattle Chinese Garden (West Seattle)
- Yesler Terrace Park (First Hill)
- Volunteer Park (Capitol Hill)
- Columbia Park (Columbia City)
- Freeway Park (Downtown)
Hear Igor Stravinsky’s Suite Italienne for Violin and Piano, Maurice Ravel’s Trio for Violin, Cello and Piano in A minor, and Robert Schumann’s Romances for Oboe and Piano, Op. 94 live at the Music Under the Stars. It’s two shows for the price of NONE!
