Northwest Paddling Festival
Planning for the perfect weekend with your friends and family? Mark your calendars on May 10 and 11 for the Northwest Paddling Festival at Lake Sammamish! Enjoy paddleboarding by the glorious Issaquah Alps. Who knows? You might just see a bald eagle gliding in the air, or a blue heron pecking the banks for fish.
Durable canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and much more will be sold by trusted retailers! Gears and accessories will be in stock, too! The place provides kayaks and paddles for both single and double rides. PFD life jackets will also be provided for everybody’s safety.
Get dressed for the occasion. Water shoes or aqua slippers will help you tread over the murky banks without slipping off the surface. Protect your skin with sunblock. Bring dry clothes to wear after a day of paddling and soaking.
The Northwest Paddling Festival is the largest event of its kind in the Pacific Northwest. Complete with fun-filled activities for athletes and beginners, the festival has seminars where you learn new techniques about the sport. Yoga classes will be taught by professional instructor Lindsay Lambert to get you limber and ready for paddleboarding.
The festival will launch on Friday, May 10, from 2 PM until 7 PM. On Saturday, gates will open from 9 AM to 5 PM. Registration takes place at the entrance. Participants under 18 must come with their parents or guardian. Don’t let this opportunity pass! Meet with the experts and paddle to your heart’s content this May!
