Do you love Mother Nature? Then, get excited for the annual Sammamish Earth Day! See you on Saturday at the Beaver Lake Lodge. The first 100 visitors get a free bag of compost so get there early! Bring your family and friends and enjoy some of these activities in store for you.

Petting Zoo

Do your kids sing “Old Macdonald” but never really know how some of the mentioned characters actually look like? Bring them to the petting zoo booth and let them enjoy the animals. See your children’s wonder written on their faces. Don’t worry. The staff manning the booth is well-trained to make sure people who visit are safe.

Do you want your own birdhouse? Maybe you want to try out carpentry for a change. Whichever your reasons are, try visiting the build-a-birdhouse booth and see how you can be crafty and provide a home for our avian friends.

Scavenger Hunt

Tap your competitive spirit (or don’t) and have a blast with the scavenger hunt! Whether you’re with your family or friends, this sure will tickle your detective skills and bring you back to being a kid again. Who knows? You might just get the coveted prize.

Ella-Bella Bee & the Pollinators

Show your children this original show about pollinators in the environment. With their interactive songs and colorful costumes, the kids will love this. They won’t just have fun. They get to learn about the wonders of pollination, too.

These are just some of the activities you can see in the event. Expect to see a lot more when you get to the Sammamish Earth Day. The event starts at 10 AM. Make sure to bring your camera and capture the joy, too!
